IT MATTERS??

This year was my first Christmas as a newlywed as well as my first one buying my own wrapping paper.  I thought the point was to pick out the cutest right? Wrong?  I learned something new this holiday season. Wrapping paper..it matters. My husband and I were at Target and find the 2 aisles of Chrismas paper.  I immediately go for the cute $5 paper, while my husband stands behind the cart wondering out loud why I don't just get the $2.50 and informing me that all anyone does is throw it on the ground anyone. So as the good wife I consider myself, I told him we would get one of each.  So I picked one roll from the cheap bin of some not-to-good-lookin cartoon reindeer and another from the $5 bin.  It had less paper but it was so nice with black red and green plaid with bright green glitter diagonally across the roll.  I  get home and start off with the cheap paper my husband decides on and it immediately rips at one of the corners.  My temperature begins to rise and I start griping to my blue eyed boy why I dont buy this "thin cheap crap."  So I set it aside and get out my pretty sparkly paper.  Everything was going good it looked great as a package and under my tree and I was pretty pleased with myself.  That is until I noticed the hundreds of sparkle drops all over my tile floor.  The paper quickly lost its appeal to me if you can believe it.  Whether it be when I run out or wait till next Christmas.  The trials and tribulations of a newlywed have taught me just one more thing.  Buy the thick non glittery paper, dont fancy it up dont cheap it out.  Just the thick non-glittery stuff because in the end, it does matter.
